Sagada and its "hanging coffins"

Nearby is the Sagada province, among pine trees imported by the Spanish and American colonizers, you can find caves and mountains of glaring oceanic origins, as common in the entire Filipino archipelago. Here, one of the most famous attraction is the “hanging coffins”, an evidence of an interesting funeral tradition, still ongoing up to the current days.

Ilocos Norte: history and ocean views
